This book is VERY readable, and provides critical insight on Italian Greyhounds (IGs) as pet, breed, or show prospects. The text occassionally used terms that were unfamiliar to me as a life-long pet dog owner (and went unexplained). However, the overall the book did an excellent job of educating me in the breed, what is involved in showing and breeding IGs, and what to expect of an IG as a pet. I purchased the book thinking there would be lots of color photos-- Not so ! Though there is an abundance of photos, they are black and white, and many are show photos (non-action poses with judges, handler/owners and ribbons).
